Having Fun
Left and Right: As usual, the 1999 Derby started out with a grand buffet and cocktail party at the Sea Shell. It gave everyone a chance to relax, socialize and get a great meal before heading out the next morning. Here (l) Chuck Aaron digs in on the buffet. while (r) Scott and Kara Hughes-Gasparini enjoy a quiet moment poolside out by the Shell's new Tikii Bar.

Below Center: At the Derby's Sunday Awards Banquet, Tom Hughes gives some advice to the future anglers of LBI, many of whom benefited from the 1999 Derby, whose proceeds went to the Beach Haven PTA.

Above Left: The consolation prize went to Danny Starin, and the Coors Light girls were on hands to wish him better luck next year.

Above Right: First Prize went to (l-r) Capt. Walt Johnson of the XYZ, seen here here with top angler Eric Kertesz and mate T.J. Johnson with a catch of 41 lbs. 10 oz. 

Left: Capt. Bill Tromm of the Laurolivea caught the second place fish with a 37 lb. 10 ouncer and posed with the Coors Light girls and mate Dan Carnevale.

Right: Capt. Bob Capri (l) of the Bogie II  weighed in with crewman Mike Cucinotta and  took third with a 36 lb. 12 oz. fish.
